Our Day to Day

We are in the midst of Community Based Training (CBT), and we are told it is the busiest we will every be in our 27 months with the Peace Corps.  We spend four-five hours each day, six days per week, studying language, culture, and Arabic script in the Mdrasa with our phenomenal ustada, Naima.  Five days per week we are also planning and facilitating activities / workshops in the Dar Chebab (Youth Center).  We go home each night to our host family (Mama, Baba, and three little sisters), where we continue to practice our language and be contributing members of the household.  The routine will be occasionally interrupted by program-wide trainings and youth leadership camps, which we’re told is when things will really get crazy…
