Our host Mama and Baba took us and our three little sisters to Ifrane on our last weekend with them. We checked out some views of the Middle Atlas Mountains on the way, and before we knew it, Mama was haggling with a shopkeeper on the roadside and gifting us a two stone-carved critters (pictured below). A visit to some elegantly dressed horses and suspisciously friendly monkeys also made our list of stops before finally arriving in Ifrane. We spent the afternoon at a playground where we lunched (sardine sandwiches), played, and snapped photos together — Chip and Baba even shared a teeter totter. We later strolled around the town, which some folks call the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its peaked roofs, impressive mountains, and exquisite skiing.
